Paper published: Research on Combination of Proton Beam Therapy and Boron Nuclear Capture Reaction

The Paper titled “Increased cell killing effect in neutron capture enhanced proton beam therapy” was published in “Scientific Reports” of the journal “Nature” and describes the increased cell killing effect of combining proton beam with boron drugs.

It is suggested that thermal neutrons, produced by the proton beam, react with boron^(10B) as BNCR (Boron Neutron Capture Reaction) and this results in an increased cell killing effect.
